The FAQ

This FAQ is never complete and will be continuously updated with your questions. If you can’t find the answer to your question here, please write to me so that this FAQ can answer all your questions at some point 😉

Q: Can I take the DelayMaster on an airplane?
A: As the battery has “only” 100 Wh, this should be possible, but only in hand luggage. You may have to remove the battery and a (LiPo-Safe-Bag) may be necessary. You should discuss this with your airline in advance.

Q: The legs are very difficult to screw on and connect to each other. What can I do?
A: A few drops of lubricating oil (WD40 or similar) work wonders and are sufficient

Q: There are lots of small white particles on the machine after use. What is this?
A: This is abrasion from the large drive roller. This is very soft and the relatively “hard” disk wears this away. It shouldn’t bother you any more. Simply wipe it off and everything shines again 😉

Q: The battery is full, the fuse is OK, but the machine is not working?
A: Try to start the machine with the charging cable plugged in. If this is also unsuccessful, write me a message or give me a call.

Q: Can I get documentation for the machine??
A: Yes, every DelayMaster comes with an instruction manual as well as terms of use and safety regulations.

Q: Are children allowed to practice with the DelayMaster?
A: With restrictions, yes! Please ensure that the upper power limit (motor power in percent) that can be set in the menu is adjusted for the user. Safe training with young people and children is then also possible.

Q: The disk spins off the drive wheel before the set power is reached?
A: The set power may be too low; increase it slowly. A certain amount of centrifugal and rotational force is necessary. This varies depending on the disk.

Q: How long does the battery last?
A: I don’t yet have any experience of this. However, the battery performance is also influenced by the temperature and any connected USB devices. A few hours of continuous use should be possible.

Q: How long does it take to charge the battery?
A: The discharged battery needs 2-2.5 hours until it is fully charged

Q: Can I also use the machine while it is charging?
A: Yes, that is not a problem. However, it may increase the charging time slightly

Q: Does it matter which charger I use?
A: No, it does not. Only use the DelayMaster charger supplied. Other chargers can reduce the performance and service life of the battery and may even destroy it.

Q: The machine has become wet. What do I have to do?
A: Switch off first! If necessary, remove the fuse to protect the electronics until the damage has been assessed. External moisture such as a light rain shower should not cause any problems. Wipe it dry and that’s it. If the machine has been standing in water, a drink has been poured over it or there has been a heavy rain shower, then you should unscrew the machine before putting it into operation, check it and, if necessary, dry it sufficiently to prevent damage.

Q: The disk is wobbling a lot.
A: Use a different disk. Is the problem still occurring? Then check the rollers for “normal” fit and firmness. If everything seems to be OK, please write me a message or give me a call.

Q: The main switch is switched on, but the machine is not working?
A: Please check the battery condition by switching on the voltmeter at the USB charging sockets and checking the battery charge level. If the battery voltage display shows 12 V or higher, check the fuse.

Q: How do I check the fuse?
A: Remove the protective cap on the fuse holder and pull out the fuse. It is very tight, so pull firmly. If the melting wire in the fuse is interrupted (melted) or if there is a clouding or lump formation, then the fuse is defective and must be replaced. (max. 10A, standard car flat fuse – available at every gas station)

Q: The machine motor continues to run even after the disk has been removed. What should I do?
A: Switch off the DelayMaster and check whether the return spring of the follower roller is working. The switch is mechanically coupled to this. Does the roller return to its original position when you move it to the right (towards the drive wheel)? If not, please write me a message.

Q: The follower roller does not return to its starting position?
A: Please write me a message or give me a call.
